I was born in raised in Chesapeake, Virginia, just a few steps from the Elizabeth River that fed off of the Chesapeake Bay, and a short drive from the Virginia Beach ocean front where I spent many summers working. 

I was drawn to the Blue Ridge Mountains for college because of their beauty and familiarity. I'd spent a lot of time in North Carolina's Appalachian Mountains visiting my mother's family, and the first time I saw the green hills and little dandelions below my feet I knew I was home. Here at Virginia Tech I've picked up snowboarding, cracked a bone in the process, DJ'd radio shows, worked for Red Bull, and watched my passion for photography and cinema bloom. 

I just graduated in May and am hoping to spread my wings and explore somewhere new this fall!
